Marlir Keuken is a recipe publication. Reading it requires no account, no registration and no personal profile of any kind. This document explains, in plain language, the small amount of information that moves between your browser and this website while you read, and what happens to it afterwards.

1. What This Site Never Asks of You

There is no login on Marlir Keuken, no member area, no newsletter form and no purchase of any kind. We do not ask for your name, your date of birth, your address or any payment detail, because nothing on this site requires them. If a page ever appears to request such data while claiming to be us, it is not ours, and we would ask you to let us know.

2. Technical Records Created Automatically

Like practically every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps short lived technical logs when a page is served. These logs may include the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the page requested, the browser type and the referring page. They exist for security, abuse prevention and capacity planning. We do not use them to build profiles of individual readers, and we do not enrich them with data from anywhere else.

3. If You Write to Us

Should you contact the publisher using the details at the bottom of this page, we will receive whatever you choose to include in your message, normally your email address and the text you wrote. That correspondence is used solely to reply to you. It is not added to a marketing list, sold, rented or shared with third parties.

4. Cookies, Explained Honestly

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Marlir Keuken itself sets no cookies for its own content: recipes render the same whether cookies are enabled or not. Cookies you may encounter on this site come from the advertising layer described in the next section. You can inspect, restrict or delete cookies at any time using your browser settings, and the recipes will keep working exactly the same.

To keep the publication free to read, this site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. We do not control the cookies these third parties set, and we never hand them reader data of our own, because we hold none worth handing.

6. Statistics in the Aggregate

We may review anonymous, aggregated statistics about the site, for example which recipe pages are read most often or which countries visits come from as a whole. These figures contain nothing that identifies any individual person and are used only to decide what to cook and write about next.

7. How Long Anything Is Kept

Server logs rotate and are erased on a short automatic cycle, typically within a few weeks. Email correspondence is kept only while a conversation is open and is deleted once it is resolved, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.

8. Young Readers

This website is a general audience cooking publication and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact the publisher and it will be deleted promptly.

9. Keeping Things Secure

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to the small amount of correspondence we may hold is restricted to the publisher. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but the surface area here is deliberately tiny: the less we collect, the less there is to protect.

10. When This Policy Changes

If our practices change, this page will be updated and the revision date at the top will move forward. Meaningful changes will not be applied retroactively to information collected under an earlier version.
